It's weekend once again truth fans so time for yet another Weekend Round Up. But this is not going to be the Weekend Round Up I originally wrote. That one ended up far to personal and had me using this little blog of mine for far too personal reasons. Plus it would've upset a few people I know quite deeply. They'll know who they are while the rest of you will hopefully now keep reading for the day "Weekend Round Up - The Death of F*********?" finally gets published. I'm sure it will one day. Just not right now.
It's also got me now at a loss as for what to make this weekends article about. Now writers block isn't an ailment I get very often. Especially as I've a list of topics for future articles about a mile long. But right now? None of them seem to be able to inspire me to get my fingers typing.
Plus I have to admit I got sidetracked with our latest venture here on the spaceman, farcebook, which came to me as a whim and now I've enough material sourced up to last us until Christmas. That's Christmas 2025.
So... What do type? That is now the burning question. I was tempted to do a review of the new Muppet movie that the Americans have had for months but we brits have only just had released. But again do I want to do a full review section? Do I actually see enough movies to pull that off? Doubtful.
However I am planning to do a comic of the week section under GeekOut. It's a good few weeks off yet but I'm an avid reader of the comic book artform. And I think doing a little review/recomendation of my favourite new release of that week might not be such a bad idea. With digital distribution my beloved comics are now no more than a tap or two away!
I covered my other idea for the Round Up earlier in the week. The campaign to have the Sex Pistols punk rock anthem "God Save the Queen" to number one on the week of the Queens Diamond Jubilee. I've some good evidence of a cover up 35 years ago that says they should've been number 1 for the silver jubilee back in 1977 but that's going to be saved for future weeks.
I think looking back at what I've typed I have come to an idea for this blog. It's an insight into my thought processes and those behind the website.
So yeah, I'm not just random words on a screen, I'm a man sat on a laptop typing them. A man it would seem who sometimes has serious writers block. Well for this blog at least...
I hope you've enjoyed or at the very least tolerated this little meander into my conciousness.
Normal service will inevitiably be resumed next week.
The Truthseeker... I think.
